What is an assistance dog?

An assistance dog is a type of auxillary aid under the Equality Act 2010. Disabled people are entited to reasonable adjustments under the EA10, including to be accompanied by their auxilary aid (assistance dog).

Assistance dogs must be able to mitigate disability and have training so that their behaviour is reasonable in public locations.
